The Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) is part of the Yukon Immigration Strategy and is an economic immigration program designed to support Yukon’s labour market. It is operated by the Government of Yukon in partnership with Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC).
There are three programs the Yukon Nominee Program offers: the Skilled Worker Program, the Critical Impact Worker Program and the Business Nominee Program. They are all administered by the Advanced Education Branch of the Yukon Department of Education.
The Skilled Worker and Critical Impact Worker streams of the Yukon Nominee Program supplement the local labour force with qualified foreign workers where Canadian citizens and permanent residents are not available.
